About PAKT

Find your
PAKT.

PAKT is Toronto's first cohort-led fitness studio. Two floors, two worlds, one membership — built for the people who want training to feel like belonging, not transaction.

The Premise

Modern fitness broke
the part that mattered.

Big-box gyms gave us machines and isolation. Boutique studios gave us choice paralysis and turnover. Apps gave us streaks and screens.

All of them quietly stripped out the one thing the research keeps proving matters most: other people, on the same path, at the same time.

PAKT is built around that one variable. Cohorts that train together for seasons, not single sessions. Coaches who know your name and your numbers. A schedule designed to be sustainable for the life you actually live.

The System

Four pillars.
One membership.

01

Cohort over Class

You don't walk into a room of strangers. You walk into your crew. Same coach, same crewmates, same time slot — week after week. Familiarity is the unlock that moves training from a chore to a ritual.

02

Two Floors, Two Worlds

The Wild upstairs — heavy, loud, primal. Strength, conditioning, run club, the work that hurts and rewards. The Den below — pilates, hot, infrared, restorative. Two opposite poles under one roof so your body sees both stress and recovery in the same membership.

03

Coaches as Authors

Every coach owns their cohort's arc. They program the season, they know your name, they know your numbers. You're not training under an instructor — you're training with someone who is on the hook for your progress.

04

Built for Showing Up

No 5,000-class menu, no decision fatigue. A focused weekly schedule built around the cadence real adults can sustain — early morning, lunchtime, evening. Pick your slot. Lock it in. Show up.

The Building

One door.
Two opposites.

Ground Floor

The Wild

High-intensity cohort training. Strength, conditioning, run club, social events. The hard stuff that makes the easy stuff possible.

  • Strength training cohorts
  • Conditioning + intervals
  • Run club
  • Social programming

Upstairs

The Den

Pilates and low-impact training across hot, infrared, and non-heated formats. The recovery and mobility side of a complete athletic life.

  • Reformer pilates
  • Hot pilates
  • Infrared sessions
  • Mobility + recovery

Founding memberships unlock both floors — every class, every format, every time slot.

Group beats solo.
The data is clear.

Avg. time worked out

30 min/week

~60 min/week (2× as long)

Solo exercisers worked out twice as long and still saw no meaningful gains in stress, physical, or emotional wellbeing. Group exercisers did half the work for dramatically better outcomes across all measures.

  • Group exercise: significant physical health improvements across all 12 weeks vs. control

  • Solo exercise: no significant physical health improvements vs. control at any point

  • Both improved mental health in weeks 1–8; group condition maintained gains longer

Imboden, C., Gerber, M., et al. (2021). Transdiagnostic efficacy of a group exercise intervention for outpatients with heterogeneous psychiatric disorders. BMC Psychiatry, 21, 331. 12-week RCT, 74 psychiatric outpatients (depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD).

  • Group exercise produced significant improvements across all psychiatric conditions — not just fitness, but mental health

  • Transdiagnostic benefits — one group exercise format effective across depression, anxiety, insomnia, and ADHD
